A city-walking fan app that pairs characters with real routes
oshiquest, developed by ANYSOCIAL GROUP PTE.LTD., is a lifestyle app that turns everyday walks into character-led outings, promoting active fandom and exploration. The app pairs interactive AI-driven characters with GPS-tracked city walks, records visits to nominated spots, and overlays characters onto on-site photos. Key functions include persistent character memory, location nominations, and multi-oshi management. It targets oshi-katsu fans who want a physically engaging way to interact with favorite virtual personalities and document shared outings.
Makes routine walks feel like guided fan outings
The app places a digital companion alongside your real-world path, so walks become narrated experiences rather than anonymous steps. Characters can "remember" prior conversations, which creates a sense of continuity across outings. For users who treat fandom as a daily practice, this means a sequence of city trips can build a personal storyline tied to specific locations and photos rather than isolated interactions.
Connects to device GPS and on-site photography with clear requirements
oshiquest uses Android location permissions to map your route and to record visits when a character "nominates" a place, so setup requires granting location access. The on-site photography feature overlays characters onto photos taken at nominated sites. Permissions and background tracking operate only while the app is active or during an active outing, which limits passive background location use to that precise scenario.
Designed for fans who value ongoing character relationships
Choice and continuity are central: there is no gacha mechanic, so users select and support specific characters directly, and the app supports interacting with multiple oshis at once. This design suits collectors who prefer deliberate attachment over randomized acquisition. Accessibility details are not enumerated, so users who need screen reader support or high-contrast modes should verify those options on their device before committing to lengthy outings.
To sum up, a niche companion for active, location-minded fans
oshiquest is a purpose-built option for oshi-katsu practitioners who want character-driven, place-based outings and photographic keepsakes. It relies on active GPS use and in-app sessions, which limits passive tracking scenarios. To sum up, it fits well into the routine of anyone seeking a physical, memory-rich way to spend time with favorite virtual personalities.
